TPEE is a block copolymer containing polyester hard segments and polyether soft segments. The polyether soft segments and uncrystallized polyester form an amorphous phase, while the partially crystallized polyester hard segments form crystalline microdomains that act as physical crosslinking points. TPEE combines the elasticity of rubber with the strength of engineering plastics. The soft segments give it elasticity like rubber, while the hard segments give it processability like plastics. Compared to rubber, it has better processability and longer service life. Compared to engineering plastics, it has similar high strength but better flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties.
